Requirements

Before setting up a masternode, ensure you meet the following requirements:

1000 FIRO Collateral

You need exactly 1000 FIRO in a single transaction as collateral.

VPS or Server

1-2 vCPU cores, minimum 2GB RAM with 2GB swap space, 35GB disk space, Ubuntu 22.04 64-bit.

Static IPv4 Address

Your masternode needs a static IP address and must be accessible 24/7.

Technical Knowledge

Basic Linux and SSH command-line knowledge. Firo full node wallet (Qt version) required.

Encrypt and Backup Wallet

Encrypt your desktop wallet and create a backup before proceeding with masternode setup.

Send exactly 1000 FIRO to a transparent address in your wallet. This is your masternode collateral.

Generate Keys

Generate ownerAddress, payoutAddress, feeSourceAddress, and operatorKey for your masternode.

Obtain VPS from providers like Digital Ocean, Linode, or Vultr. Configure firewall, swap space, and permissions.

Install Firo Daemon

Install and sync Firo daemon on your VPS. Wait for full blockchain synchronization.

Register masternode on local wallet using protx register command with all generated keys.
